The Month in New Improvised Wikipedia Podcast Episodes

In addition to being trapped on the moon by the Evil Dr. Peck, Jon is famously rewriting the entirety of Wikipedia, one page at a time, with fellow funny pants smarty boy, Glen Tickle. October brought some delightful new editions to the project, perfect for all your fall edu-tainment needs. Check out October’s new episodes below or at anchor.fm/improvisedwikipedia. The show recently switched hosting platforms, so in addition to new shows, classic episodes are being uploaded each week as well.

Keep reading this post for a completely self-serving recap of October 2020’s new episodes that you should totally check out so Jon can feel good about himself.

The October 6th entry featured the gosh darn delightful Gabe Mara (Slow Readers Podcast) getting all up in R.L. Stine’s bizness with an episode on Goosebumps. Did Gabe intentionally select a book series so he could seemlessly plug his own literally podcast? We’ll never know…

Ermagherd! This week we talk Goosebumps with Gabe Mara from the Slow Readers podcast! Is there a weird sound issue where the tracks are a little out of sync because we tried a new recording setup again? Of course! Is it still a fun episode! You betcha!

October 13th was an international incident. Hilarious improviser and rad artist Rosalie Fry helped the boys tackle noods for the pasta entry into the IW universe. Glen’s toddler also makes quite the guest spot in this episode. If you listen carefully, you can hear her summoning a demon maybe? It’s difficult to understand children!

What's up pasta maniacs? We talking pasta today with our friend and person living in Italy, Rosalie Fry! We cover all the shapes. We tell you to make it. My toddler babbles about Moana in the background. All around great ep.

What you know about records? They’re magic, right? WRONG! Check out October 20th’s episode about the phonograph featuring real-life cartoon villain Ben Youngerman, ya hipsters. If you’re at all curious as to why Ben has a handlebar mustache, then this is the episode for you! Also Glen is basically near death in this episode, but still recorded it because he’s a goddamn professional.

Well. It had to happen eventually. We brought Glen's nemesis Ben Youngerman onto the show as our dumb guest. Apparently we brought him up enough times that he invoked some kind of Beetlejuice rule where we had to let him on.

The final new episode of October is hands down the grossest - definitely of the month, possibly in the history of the show! Comedian Kirk Griffiths (Proper Ebonics Podcast) guests and learns all about UTIs - just in time for Halloween! Do any of these ding dongs know what they’re talking about? Probably not, but you get to hear about one of Glen’s very specific sexy-time moves. Wash your hands!

We adopted the "explicit" tag from the jump because of swearing, but boy howdy do we earn it this week. Learn about urinary tract infections with our pal comedian Kirk Griffiths from the Proper Ebonics podcast. Ferris wheels! Champagne! A lot of pee talk! Glen hurts himself laughing.

So that’s that - A month’s worth of new Improvised Wikipedia episodes. You can check out more episodes at anchor.fm/improvisedwikipedia.
